Ok so this is exactly how I get in trouble at the grocery store. I go for one thing and end up with way more than I intended. I carried in only my little wallet sized coupon organizer since I currently use the save the whole ad method of couponing. Today, I was after cream of chicken soup to try out the Publix recipe for Party Chicken. I got that, and then some...
4 Oscar Myer Deli Creations @ 2 for $4.00 = $6.00 no Q (my hubby likes to take these for lunch and I'm all out of Q's)
2 Campbells Cream of Chicken Soup @ $1.34 ea - .25Q from 11/8 SS doubled to $.50 cents = $2.18
1 Infusiom Shampoo @ $5.99 - $2.00 Q from 11/18 SS = $3.00
1 Infusiom Conditioner Free with BOGO Advantage Buy Q plus I used another $2.00Q for this one for a final cost of $1.99 for both.
1 Farm Rich Mozzerella Sticks on bogo for $3.85 - $2.00 printable = $1.85
1 Farm Rich Mozzerella Bites on bogo for $3.84 - $2.00 printable = $1.85
1 Package Publix Romaine Lettuce @ $2.50
1 Avocado @$.99 (I know but I love them)
1 Cucumber @ $0.65
1 Tomato $1.29
2 Bags Wize White Cheddar Popcorn on Bogo for$1.50ea (no Q although I shoulda printed one)
1 Gallon Milk @ $2.59 (cheaper at Kroger)
1 small pkg. Publix dried apricots on sale for 25% off @$2.24 (I need these to bake cookies for an upcoming holiday party)
1 Publix Bleach @$.01 penny item
Total with Tax = $30.46
Total saved combined with in ad specials and Q's = $30.28 or about 50%
So, I could have done a lot better had I waited to get Q's for the Wise and not splurged on a few things like the avocado. This is a really good reason to put together that coupon binder I've been putting off building. I hate that I often buy things knowing full well there are coupons out there. Hopefully, documenting this will help me be more disciplined.
Dinner's ready...
